The population in North Africa is set to grow by 15% by 2030 and reach 286 million from 246 million. An increase in the number of students will require more classrooms. As per the standards set by UNICEF, a classroom should only accommodate 40 students. Based on this benchmark a total of 285,535 new classrooms will be required to accommodate the new students.

As the construction costs vary across the North African region, we used an average of $37,500 per classroom as the cost of construction. Based on this, the region will require $10.7 billion to build 285,535 classrooms over the next 10 years.
