Invest in Renewable Energy Africa
The ABiQ Round Table Discussion for alternative energy in Africa hosted key industry members, policymakers and other stakeholders integral to delivering a clean sustainable future for the continent. Distinguished guests received valuable insight into the roadmaps of policies, technology and funding requirements as well as the opportunity to directly engage with each other on solutions for the acceleration of renewable energy harvesting, particularly in Kenya and Uganda.
Renewable energy is fast becoming mainstream in Africa and for valid reasons. Conventional utility grids are under strain as the population and economy both grow, placing insatiable demand on energy providers. Fossil fuels and the processes required to convert them into energy present rising costs which simply aren’t sustainable. Africa has no choice but to move rapidly towards a smart mix of energy systems if it is to grow and prosper in step with the rest of the world.
Nairobi, as a world leader in sustainable energy and continental leader in subsequent infrastructural development, offers the perfect setting for this exclusive event. Guests had a direct opportunity to engage with rewarding investments within clean energy markets.
