The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy is the client on the 4.8 Gigawatt nuclear plant in the Dabaa district in Matrouh. Russia’s Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division is the lead contractor and licensor for the plant.
Talaat Moustafa Group Holding is developing a 33 square kilometre area in the capital Cairo. The project is developed over ten phases and includes residential, commercial, leisure and retail zones. The lead contractor is Alexandria Construction Company.
Developed by the Egypt Ministry of Transportation, the 543-kilometre line will be all-electric, a first in Egypt, and have fifteen stations. The rail line connects various suburbs in Cairo and winds up along the Nile to connect El Alamein and Alexandria. Systra carried out design work, and the main contractors include China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation, Samcrete Egypt Engineers and Contractors, Orascom Construction & Arab Contractors. Siemens AG received the order for rollingstock.
Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company is developing a 2.2 million ton per annum petrochemical facility and a 650 thousand ton petroleum refinery in Ain Sokhna. Bechtel Corporation is carrying out construction work. DFC and the US EXIM Bank is the lead financiers.
