Ghana is the largest gold producer in Africa. Mining is a key component of its national economy. Besides Gold, Manganese, Bauxite, and Diamonds are some of the other commercially exploited minerals in Ghana. The mining sector faces challenges as it is still using traditional practices but there is emphasis on changing this and adapting a modern approach.
