Senegal Market Profile

Senegal, officially the Republic of Senegal, is a country in West Africa. Senegal’s population will grow by 22% over the next 10 years from 16.8 million to 20.4 million, based on forecasts done by ABiQ.

The government has adopted a new model for development as part of the ‘Plan for an Emerging Senegal’ initiative. Senegal’s economy is driven by a mix of sectors including but not limited to agriculture, mining, construction and tourism. It had a GDP of $25 billion, or slightly over $1,400 per capita in 2019.
