1. Fujairah LNG Terminal
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) plans to build an LNG export terminal at the facility. Construction is expected to start by 2023 with an estimated completion date of 2027.
The scope of work also includes a second 360 kilometres long gas pipeline linking the Habshan gas production facilities to Fujairah. The pipeline will have a flow capacity of 2 billion cubic feet per day.
2. Upper Zakum Oil Field
The Upper Zakum Oil Field is located off the coast of Abu Dhabi. The Upper Zakum Oil Field is the second largest offshore oil field in the world. The Upper Zakum Oil Fieldhas an estimated reserve of more than 50 million barrels of oil. The Upper Zakum Oil Field produces 750,000 barrels per day and aims to increase production to 1m barrels of oil per day by 2024, by drilling additional wells and using extended-reach drilling technology.
3. Ghasha Ultra Sour Gas Project
The Ghasha Ultra Sour Gas Project is the world’s largest offshore sour gas development. The Ghasha project is located on the north-western shore of Abu Dhabi. The project is expected to have a daily production capacity of approximately one billion cubic feet of sour gas, located on the northwestern shore of Abu Dhabi. The scope will comprise three gas and condensate fields: Hail, Ghasha and Dalma.
4.The Hail and Ghasha Sour Gas Fields
The Hail and Ghasha Sour Gas Fields are located offshore Abu Dhabi. The Hail and Ghasha Sour Gas Fields are expected to produce up to 1.5 billion cubic feet per day of sour gas. The Hail and Ghasha Sour Gas Fields will play a vital role in meeting the UAE’s gas self-sufficiency objective. The Hail and Ghasha Sour Gas Fields is being developed to increase the UAE’s domestic gas production by 18 per cent.
5. Zubair Oil Field
The Zubair Oil Field is located in Iraq, around 20km southwest of Basra. The Zubair Oil Field has around 4.5 billion barrels of proven oil reserves. Production reached 500,000 barrels per day in 2019, however, over the next few years, under the current expansion programme, production is expected to reach 1.1 million barrels per day at the Zubair Oil Field
